LZ Friendly Reunion
One of the purposes of LZ FRIENDLY is to enhance pride in Vietnam Veterans for having served their country honorably during America's most controversial conflict of the 20th century. The semi-annual reunions accomplish this purpose.The reunions are a time for healing for ALL Veterans and their families.
'2008 Memorial Day Reunion'
The 'Memorial Day' reunion will be held this year beginning Friday, May 23, 2008 (0700) and officially ending Monday, May26, 2008 (1300).
The entrance fee of $35.00 will cover the expenses for the weekend which includes rough camping fees, food, beverage, and entertainment. If you want to pay by the day the fee is $15.00. If you require electric at your site, that will be an additional $5.00 fee per day for the weekend.
New** Children under the age of 12 are free to enter when accompanied by an adult.
Veterans may bring ONE guest, in addition to their families. Guest must be registered as such and entrance fee applies.
You will be issued a wrist band at Registration once you enter the campground and you will not be served at the mess hall or the beverage hall unless it is on your person in plain view.
New** There is a dump site at the campground for RV's now.
All campsites are on a first come, first serve basis unless you are a Life Member and have a reserved site.
There is a bath house for men and for ladies which includes showers and hot/cold running water.
There is a playground for children and a horseshoe pit.
When coming to the campgrounds, please be prepared to provide proof of veteran status (DD214, VA, VFW, or American Legion ID) unless you are already a Member in good standing (your dues are paid and you have provided us with a copy of your DD214).
